This policy explains what Block Fit does with information on your device. It is short because the app does very little.
Block Fit is published by AstroForged (“we”, “us”).
The game itself collects nothing. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no servers. Everything you do stays on your phone. The one exception is advertising: Block Fit shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob, and the AdMob software collects information in order to choose and measure those adverts. That collection is Google’s, not ours, and it is described below.
What stays on your device
Block Fit stores the following locally, and never transmits it:
- your scores, number of games played, lines cleared and best combo
- your daily streak and the date you last played
- an in-progress game, so you can close the app and come back to it
- your settings: theme, block palette, text size, sound, vibration and animation preferences
- counters used to limit how often adverts are shown, so that you do not see too many
None of this is linked to you as a person, because the app never asks who you are. Uninstalling Block Fit deletes all of it permanently. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, because we never receive it.
Advertising
Block Fit uses Google AdMob to show adverts. To do that, the AdMob software in the app may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising ID
- device information such as model, operating system version and language
- your approximate location, derived from your IP address (country or region level, not a precise position)
- information about adverts shown to you, such as whether one was viewed or tapped
Google uses this to select adverts, to limit how often you see the same one, and to measure whether adverts work. Google’s handling of this information is governed by its own policies, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Some adverts are rewarded videos, which only ever play after you choose to watch one in exchange for something in the game. Nothing plays automatically.
Your choices about advertising
- Reset or delete your advertising ID. On Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads. On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. You can reset the ID or stop apps requesting it, which limits personalised advertising.
- If you are in the UK or EU, you can control personalised advertising through those same device settings.
- In California, you have the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Limiting or resetting your advertising ID as described above gives effect to that choice.
Permissions
Block Fit requests two Android permissions, both required by the advertising software rather than by the game:
- INTERNET, so adverts can be requested.
- AD_ID, so the advertising ID described above can be read.
The game does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, files, photos or precise location, and does not use them. Every puzzle is generated on your device, so the game is fully playable with no network connection at all.
Children
Block Fit is not directed at children and is not listed for a child audience. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will act on it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be described in the app’s update notes.
